TBP Photo Journal 12: The Compound Part 01

Growing up every summer my entire extended family would get together for a week a half hour outside of Oneanta, NY to go camping at Gilbert Lake State Park.  Some of my favorite memories as a kid were with my cousins hanging out at the lake.  It's been probably close to 10 years since I've had the opportunity to camp and and hang out with my family for an extended period of time.  We got to spend the weekend at my uncle's cabin right by Windham Mountain.  We had a nice long weekend of camping, fishing, shootin' guns, riding quads, drinking beers, harvesting honey, blowing shit up.  Anything and everything you'd want to do while spending Independence Day weekend in the Catskills.  We had an absolute blast of a weekend and Claire and I can't thank my family enough for inviting us along to enjoy the weekend together.  One of the best trips I've probably ever had and the nicest refresher before the hectic part of summer kicks in.  Check out the first half of the photos after the break, and be sure to check out part two tomorrow.
